Part-Time Customer Service Cashier Position   $8.76/hr.
This is a Part time position with limited duration, not to exceed 24 months
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to handle cash transactions, perform basic mathematical calculations, and reconcile sales and receipts.  Cashier experience desirable.  Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, and at different locations as required. 
This position is ideal for students looking to make some extra money.  Below is the schedule for the various shifts. 
Please note that a flexible schedule is required for this position.
Marta will assign you to the shifts where support is needed.

Monday through Thursday-   6am to 12:15, 12 noon to 6:15pm, 6pm to 12:15 midnight, 12 mid-night to 6:15am,
Friday to Sunday-   6am to 2:30pm, 2:15pm to 11pm, and 10:45pm to 6:15am
Please note:  The duties of this position may involve working as a Floater (going to the various sites, picking up or dropping off materials, inspecting and reporting of booth status), and working at the Egress Station (the vehicle exit point).  This position will require one to work on holidays and special events.  Additionally, Time and Attendance is critical in this role.  One will be expected to report on each scheduled day of work and on time for each scheduled shift. Important to mention that every 6 months, with satisfactory performance, an incremental raise will be given up to the ceiling rate of $10.30/hr.    These times may vary 1 hour each way.   
INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
Basic Functions
    Serves the Authority and the Office of CFO-Parking Services by collecting payment for parking tickets from MARTA patrons and providing customer service by responding to customer inquiries/complaints regarding the MARTA transit system.  Operates a fee computer and reconciles sales receipts at the end of the shift. Maintains and serves as custodian over a working fund.  Assembles all documentation for the preparation of daily deposits

1.  Collects parking fees based on the published rate and the number of days parked. 
2.  Operates Fee Computer and performs daily reconciliation of fees collected and receipts. 
3.  Maintains working bank fund balances. Safeguards monies at all times. 
4.  Monitors the flow of traffic within the parking facility
5.  Provides customer service by answering inquiries/complaints regarding the MARTA transit system. 
6.  Performs other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol screen.
  • Must successfully pass credit reference check and background investigation by Georgia Crime Information Center.
  • Part-time positions to be worked on an as needed basis.
  • Hours worked are limited to twenty-five per week.
